Education is, in my opinion, the best investment we can ever make.
No, I’m not talking about going to school and getting a degree.
I’m talking about finding what you’re passionate about and learning everything you can about it. Now that’s a real education.
We’re unique.
Some of us like dancing, others like literature.
There are those of us who dream of running a multi-million dollar corporation while others are content with a 9 to 5 job.
Nowadays I am starting to reap the rewards of my education that started 8 years ago with “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.”
That book made me look at the world differently and I began to think of ways to make money, besides my job.
Just the other day I got a new client and she deals in a field that I have very limited knowledge of – the fashion world. (although my wife will admit I have come a long way since she met me)
In our family my wife’s the fashion expert but I guess some of what she knows has rubbed off on me over the years.
However I know next to nothing about the industry itself.
And yet over the course of a 30-minute conversation with my client I was able to come up with a few new ways which would allow her to expand her business.
In today’s world regardless of what business we’re in we need to consider at least some of the following avenues to grow.
- Blogs
- Partnerships
- Direct Marketing
Do you have to do all of them? That’s up to you…but it can’t hurt.
Just a few short years ago I was an English teacher and wouldn’t have been able to offer her any advice.
Since that time I have worked hard to improve myself and am now able to offer advice on a variety of subjects ranging from relationships to business.
It was an investment in time, energy and, of course, money.
Sometimes we don’t see the fruits of our labor for many years but we must never lose hope that all our efforts will pay off.
They have for me, and I have no doubt they can for you, too.

We learn from the very beginning when we have become a living creature in our mother’s womb till our our last breath. Life as we know it, is a journey. Some aspire to benevolent endeavors while others just want a very comfortable existence. Which ever each one of us seeks, we all need to keep learning. Knowledge is power, or really when you think about it, it paves the road that each one of us seek to travel along on.
Thks for the comment Linh, I couldn’t agree more. The knowledge we acquire lays the foundation for our futures. For the longest time I thought that my education ended with school but now I realize that whether we realize it or not our education continues. In school we know where we stand because we continually get feedback in the form of grades…but in life we only find out how we did when we look back at what we accomplish with regards to our family, our friends and our contribution.
