how to think like a millionaire pt.1

Millionaire…what an amazing word.

It’s something that many people aspire to be, but not many succeed.

Over the course of my life I have been lucky enough to have met more than a handful of millionaires but you’d never know it if you met them.

Most millionaires are quite unassuming.

They work hard, save money, make good investments and slowly, but surely, move towards the elusive goal of becoming a millionaire.

And despite what we sometimes read most millionaires are kind, giving and quite generous.

They offer their time to help others and support various organizations in their area from youth organizations to orphanages.

Amazingly less than 1% of millionaires are sports stars, musicians and actors.

Many own their own businesses such as dry cleaners or construction companies.

In fact, what separates the average millionaire from the average person is how they think.

I know that sounds almost too simple but by changing the way you think, you will start on the path to becoming a millionaire.

Below is a list of just some of the ways millionaires think.

  1. Becoming a millionaire doesn’t happen overnight.
  2. Invest for the long-term.
  3. No substitute for hard work.
  4. Family comes first.
  5. Keep track of their money.
  6. Buy what they need.
  7. Resist buying gadgets and toys.
  8. Problems = Opportunities.
  9. Invest in themselves.
  10. Education is irreplaceable.
  11. Learn from those who have achieved what you’re after.
  12. Set aside time for yourself.

Now some of you might be thinking, “Well, anyone can do that.” And that’s absolutely true, anyone can, but not everyone will.

It’s easy enough to say that we’ll set aside time for ourselves or study but it’s another to actually do them.

Too many of us get distracted or excited by our achievements.

We begin to spend a little too much, relax a little too much, play a little too much and before you know it, everything you have achieved is gone.

Millionaires know that fortunes can be made and lost in the blink of an eye.

But to build a lasting fortune that you can pass on to your children requires discipline and effort.

Remember, anyone can become a millionaire, but not everyone will.

Will you?
