Back in high school doing research for a project was like pulling teeth.
This was pre-Internet so I was limited to three libraries; the one at my school and two others located quite a ways away from my house.
As these reports weren’t do or die most of us simply relied on the books in our library which was VERY limited.
I would spend hours to track down one book with a small piece of information in it.
Not what I consider good time management.
All I can say is thank goodness for the Internet.
Nowadays, as you may have heard me say before, it’s not a problem finding information but rather knowing which information to trust.
There are so many “experts” out there that don’t really know much about what they’re talking about.
These days social media is the talk of the town and everyone out there claims to know how to increase your exposure.
Unfortunately most people are just knowledgeable about a subject area; not the experts they claim to be.
This is true in any field.
There are failed businessmen. Poor teachers. Lousy designers.
There are those who recommend brands or products just because they get a cut of the deal.
So today I’d like to share with you a few of the sites and people that I trust and feel that you would do well to listen to their advice or possibly buy from them.
- Cameras – Ken Rockwell
- Social Interaction – Facebook
- Email – Google
- Computers – Apple
- Financial education – Robert Kiyosaki
- Success – Tony Robbins
- Motivation – Zig Ziglar
- Online Marketing – Frank Kern
- Online Shopping – Amazon
- Electronics in Japan – www.kakaku.com
- Rare items – eBay
I encourage you to find the sites that have what you want and find the people that have what you’re after.
There is no one size fits all.
In the end it all comes down to personal choice but I hope that you find the resources above helpful.
If you’ve got some suggestions I’d love to hear them, drop me a line.
