how to prepare for the coming storms of life

We’ve all been through some storms. Snow storms, typhoons, hurricanes, cyclones, hailstorms or just a heavy downpour.

They can reek havoc on any community without warning and have no regard for human life.

They are a fact of life, we cannot change them, but we can prepare for them.

Failing to do so can cost us dearly.

We are constantly reminded just how powerful and destructive nature can be every few years.

The latest being the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.

But in life we must not only prepare for the storms of nature but those that we ourselves create.

There are financial storms, commodity storms, social storms, relationship storms and family storms.

And like storms of nature sometimes there are warnings.

While I consider myself quite young I can’t remember a time quite like today.

Everything is so interconnected and we are seeing one storm after another.

In 2008 we had Lehman Brothers that sent reverberations across the financial markets.

Then in 2009 Iceland collapsed.

In 2010 the sovereign debt crisis in Europe appeared. First Greece, now Portugal and Ireland.

Should these countries fail to solve their problems the spotlight will then fall on Italy and Spain, two much bigger economies.

As I write this today none of these issues have really disappeared but we can now add the problems in the Middle East to the mix.

It started in Tunisia then Egypt but it has spread all across the region like wildfire.

And what’s at the heart of all these issues?

MONEY!!

The financial storm rages on and only those that prepare for it will weather it.

What can we do? There is no simple answer as no one really knows just what will happen.

However I believe that the first step to protecting ourselves again any type of storm is EDUCATION.

That might sound silly but I assure you I am being absolutely serious.

If we read books on relationships and study how to have a successful relationship wouldn’t that help you to weather any relationship storm you might have?

Wouldn’t a better understanding of money and the financial markets help you prepare for a crash?

The best time to prepare for any storm is before it hits which is why I thank you all for taking the time to read my blog and gather ideas that may serve you in your life, your business or your relationships.
