Gary Vaynerchuk’s book crush it

I picked this book up a little while ago on the advice of a friend.

I didn’t know much about the author, Gary Vaynerchuk, but figured that since my friend doesn’t like reading for him to give his blessing on this book says something.

For those who haven’t heard of this book, it is about how Vaynerchuk took his father’s $4 million business and using social media turned it into a $50 million business.

He went against the grain and created videos on a variety of topics centered around wines.

Rather than simply say, “go buy this book,” I prefer to rate a book based on the factors below. (10 stars is the highest possible score)

What I like about this book is that it talks about social media can be applied to practically any business to help increase your brand in the minds of the consumers.

He goes into the power of Twitter, Facebook and Youtube and how we can make them work for us.

At the same time he talks about the importance of authenticity, hard work and vision. All three I strongly believe in as well.

It’s well worth checking out for anyone looking for an entertaining read or how to use social media tools.

Enjoy.
