Where to Start on the Road to Success

So here I am. My first real post. It’s been about 5 years now since I started this journey of mine.

During which I have learned a lot about leadership, management, negotiation, understanding, love and, of course, success.

Many people ask me just how I got into this field and my answer is always the same – because I knew I didn’t know enough to achieve what I wanted to achieve.

Living in Japan meant that I couldn’t just sign up for a lecture on any of those topics as my Japanese ability just wasn’t good enough for such situations.

So I did the next best thing, I bought some books.

Those books then in turn introduced me to other books and now I have a library of about 300 books focused on various areas of life and a large collection of audio sessions and DVDs.

While I’m not the fastest reader, I get through about 2 books a week depending on how much other study I do.

I can tell you that I devote a minimum of 2 hours a day to my own gathering of knowledge.

Why?Because I have made it my goal to learn as much as I can and share as many good ideas with people as I can.

Nothing bothers me more than seeing people struggle when a few simple changes would have a drastic impact on their lives.

Take a look at just some of things we could do that would have a dramatic difference in our lives.

  • Walking for 30 minutes a day
  • Eating 2/3 less
  • Sleeping an hour less
  • Studying an hour a day
  • Watching an hour less of TV

Where to Start on the Road to Success?

Too often in life we don’t do what we know we should be doing.

Whatever problems we have in our lives nearly always boil down to one of the following areas; health, wealth, social or personal.

In today’s world there is no shortage of answers to any of the questions we have in all of those fields.

In fact, it’s just the opposite. We are overwhelmed by how much there is to learn that some people decide not to even get started.

That’s where I come in.

I’ve been lucky enough not only to have researched these areas in depth from some of the best experts in the world but also lived all over the world which has given me a somewhat unique perspective.

Though I’m British, I speak like an American and have been influenced by both the Thai and Japanese culture.

I hope you find the information contained in my blog as valuable as I have.

I only wish someone had told me about all of this stuff earlier.

With any luck I will succeed in helping you avoid some of the pitfalls of life as well as save you time in achieving the goals you set for yourself.
