Movies rock…
Or maybe more correctly I should say, GOOD movies rock.
Let’s face facts, there is a heck of a lot of garbage out there…I know, I’ve seen a lot of it.
Johnny Mnemonic (the guy who made the trailer should have been given a damn award cuz he made this look good…and boy did it suck), Buckeroo Bonzai, Meet the Hollowheads, Nothing But Trouble and, gulp, Hell Comes to Frogtown (hey, I was desperate)…movies that should never seen the light of day if you ask me.
People judge movies differently so it’s hard to please everyone but in my list of favorite movies I have something for everyone. I’ve got drama, love comedy, action, action and more action.
Ok, I’ll admit that I lean more to the action side simply because I find them to have more watch-ability. I mean that comedies can get old and dramas sometimes are slow when you know what’s going to happen but action for me is a world unlike my own. I love to see the good guy triumph under seemingly impossible odds.
In the end, the question I ask myself is “Was I entertained?” I love good acting, but when it comes to great movies they all have it.
It took a while to come up with them as I first had to list my favorite 50 or so and then decide which would make the final cut. (I feel like I’m a judge on American Idol)
After some deliberation I give you my favorite movies of all time…well, the first 25 that is.

Honorable mentions go to Terminator, Speed, Alien, Spiderman, Up, The Rock, Lord of the Rings (pt.2), Back to the Future, Forest Gump, Spies Like Us, Tommy Boy, The Usual Suspects, Memento, Stripes, Untouchables, Event Horizon, X2, Good Will Hunting, Fight Club, Above Suspicion, Sliding Doors, Overboard, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and Top Gun.
Earlier I said it’s all about the entertainment value for me but that’s not entirely true. I’m a big believer in value for anything.
Books that have a cover price of $20 can be worth many times that. The same can be said about an audio program, a DVD study program or a movie.
When I hand over my money for anything, I want to know that I’m getting a good deal and each of these movies fit the bill to a tee.
Remember, success isn’t just about money and business but also family, health and entertainment.
Be sure to take the time to enjoy the journey.
